My name is Zainal Adnan. We have never met nor spoken to each other. However, since I am one of the signatory to the Peremba cheques which you have banked-in, I am now held under police custody.
You may appreciate that I have never been in the picture as far as negotiation, awards and any other evaluation regarding KELE Contracting agreement. In fact, I am not even authorized to enter into agreement with any company for that matter. The only reason I signed those cheques is because it is my job to do it. The fact that I treat the matter as routine, since it should have been replaced with LCs, may be my gravest mistake, since the LC approval lies with our Head office. I was never in control.
I have been informed that the company through Mr.Teo Shet Khun, the Head of Operations, has finally reached an agreement with KELE with regards to the amount payable. I also understand Head office, through shareholder will inject this particular amount through an exercise of asset disposal < since Oceana is no longer in the picture >.
I therefore, would like to appeal to you, since Ramadan is coming to its close, to consider, as from one human being to another, to drop the criminal case you have opened against me, to allow us (my wife, children and I) to continue our life, free from this unfortunate complication.
My sincerest appreciation, if you could give my plea a consideration, even if you then decide otherwise.
